1/4" phone or banana?

Mostly because every has a lot of them around, I imagine.  It also makes interfacing
with your other gear a little easier, though the levels are often not well matched
(line level v. the 10v peak-to-peak used in many modulars).

I personally prefer bananas, cuz you can stack them, and you never accidentally plug
a "normal" cable in where it shouldn't go. :-)
