Rack- and flightcasebuilding

Fellow members,
I'm just building a 19 inch rack (which will look weird but 
beautiful!!!) and facing many difficulties. 
Especially it's really hard to get all those aluminium-profiles 
( I don't even know the english names for them). All big metal-
suppliers here in Bremen never heard of that stuff, it's only 
available at high prices at some music-stores.
Does anyone know some other ressources for this stuff (especially in 
germany). I mean, there must be some manufacturers...
Also, can someone recommend any books, FAQS or web-documents 
concerning the building of flightcases and 19inch-racks?
