I wanted to annnounce that JKJ Electronics "CV series" MIDI/CV
Converters are now shipping. The CV series are intended for use with
1 V/octave monophonic synths. They are stand-alone instruments.
The CV-3 model features:
5 octave range +/- 1/2 octave for pitch bend and vibrato
9 controllers + Bend, Velocity, and Aftertouch
LFO: 13 waves, Note ON Sync or MIDI Clock sync
Fixed frequency triangle wave sub-LFO always available for vibrato
Single/Multiple trigger modes
Low/High/Last note priority
Pitch/Filter/Aux/Pan/Volume MIDI controlled
Pan/Volume of ANY line level audio signal
True exponential portamento, with the time MIDI controlled
System configuration memory
Gate and S-Trigger outputs
Plus more features
Prices in USD are:
CV-1: $179 (CV output only)
CV-2: $229 (CV, Filter, and Aux outputs)
CV-3: $279 (CV, Filter, Aux, and Audio Processing)
All units have Gate and S-trigger out, and MIDI Thru.
For those who like to DIY, enclosureless, jackless units are available at discounted prices
($159/$209/$249) for inclusion into homebrew or any synths. The CV series
is perfect for use with Gene Stopp's ASM-1 synthesizer board.
The CV series was designed with "the complete monophonic voice" in
mind. All pitch bending, portamento, and LFO waves are free of
quantization noise, even at one octave of pitch bend.
