Bass drum schems?

Hi there people.

Well, I'm planning to start building my own synths (at last!), and I want 
something simple and instantly satisfying to start with, so...

    Does anyone have any schematics for a simple bass drum?

I just want something that will go Booooom when a trigger hits it. That would 
make me very happy, indeed. <g>

I figure this would be a simple, and cheap project that I could finish in a 
weekend. If it works to my satisfaction I'll attempt larger projects.

I already have soldering ability, and can read schematics (although I can't 
really interpret them). I also have a little breadboard so prototyping will 
(hopefully) be nice and easy.

So, if someone can help (urls? advice?), please let me know.
