Matching transistors

Since I have been working on ARP Omni's recently, I need to ask a question.
The Omni's filter module contains discrete matched transistor pairs.
According to Joachim's information (thanks Joachim) these transistors are
Motorola 2N5087 PNP transistors, or at least they were on later models.
So far I haven't seen any of these blown out on the Omni's I've worked on,
but I would like to know how to match them if I have to change them.

My transistor theory is pretty rusty, not having seen it for a long time.
I got out my solid state circuits book from when I was still an
undergraduate EE, and it of course contains no information on how to
actually match transistors. I assume what's necessary is to buy a whole
buttload of them, go thru and stick them in a circuit and measure the
base-emitter voltage, and write it down for each one and label it.
Then try to find pairs who are close enough together from the huge pile
of labeled transistors.

Joachim's schematic specifies "transistors matched for delta Vbe <= 0.5
mV". What I want to know is what circuit I need to build on a breadboard
to stick the transistors into whle measuring Vbe.

Thanks in advance!
