In my power supply, I'm using LM317 and LM337 variable regulators for two
reasons. First they allow me to accurately set the output voltage (at least
to the accuracy of my DMM!) to match each other. Second, with the addition
of two cheap capacitors on each supply, it offers 15 dB of improved regulation.
