I don't have a Serge but I built a waveshaper based on Serge and Frank Evatoffs Patent (sorry I don't have the number handy, try Qpat on the
web)Which is basically a full wave rectifier with offset. The circuit uses 1/4 LM3900 per rectifier. It's worth a look at as it makes very clever
use of the fact that the 3900's non inverting input is a current mirror attached to the inverting input.

So how does it sound..... Interesting rather than radical, certainly worth the few cents that a quarter LM3900 costs. If you are interested I can
supply you with more details.

Glad that the wave multiplier (also from Serge) was mentioned. To recap some earlier postings it consists of three separate processors:

The first appears to be a 3080 wired as a vca with a switched attenuator on the input so that the clipping either occurs at the input or the output
of the 3080 (think valve guitar amps). Bob Moog patented a distortion device that uses this technique ( along with a full wave rectifier).

The second segment I think is made from four cascaded full wave rectifiers (the 3900 type ?). Such a configaration would do what the brochure
describes.

The third section... well I would really like to know how that works. Like all the best ideas its probably very simple. It is described as sweeping
through the low order odd harmonics as the VC input is varied. You could probably realise this using De Moivres(?) theorem, but that seems to
complex for the cost of the module.

Any Ideas?

Does anyone have or has seen a schematic?

Tim.
