I've sent a few of the ASM-1 circuit boards out by now and they appear
to have been received in good shape, so I guess I'll go ahead and
offer them to the DIY list in general.
Price is US $60 apiece, or $50 apiece for four or more in one order.
While I haven't heard from anybody who has one built completely and is
currently making noise, by now I've got three working modules of my
own.
This thing should be perfect for the beginning modular synth builder.
For example if I were to take the three units I've built so far and
stick them in a single modular, I'd have the following machine:
6 VCOs
3 VCFs
6 ADSRs
6 VCAs
3 LFOs
3 Noise Sources
3 Lag Processors
for a circuit board cost of $180.
The first thing I'm planning on making is a four-voice poly synth, and
maybe add four more voices after that.
I should probably reprint the disclaimer from my documentation here:
*********************************************************************
Disclaimer:
Since I don't build analog synthesizer circuit boards for a living, I
can't act as a customer service organization. The circuit board that I
have created has been built out of the components described and
according to the schematics provided. If it is built properly, it is
guaranteed to work. If someone builds it and it doesn't work, then
some mistake was made and the builder is responsible for finding the
problem and solving it himself, or finding an electronically-minded
friend to help out. The circuits contained in this circuit board are
quite common in the analog synthesis field and the required knowledge
to build and troubleshoot them are published widely. I have inspected
every circuit board in the production batch visually for defects; any
hidden fabrication flaws should therefore be minor and easily
corrected with normal PCB repair techniques. All components used in
the construction of this circuit board were commonly available at the
time of development, and I cannot act as a source for these parts. Any
questions can be directed to me via email at gstopp at fibermux.com;
however, I can't guarantee an answer since this is my work account.
There are others who should be able to provide technical assistance
for this circuit board on the "Analogue Heaven" and "Synth-DIY" email
mailing lists.

I hope with this disclaimer I can walk the thin line between covering
my butt over the Internet without scaring people away.... By all means
if anybody finds a documentation error or has a really good idea,
please let me know!
Anyway send checks to me at:

Orders from the US can use personal checks. Orders from Canada can use
money orders in $US. Orders from elsewhere - I have no clue - anybody
out there have some advice???
Regardless, I'll throw in the shipping and hope it all evens out.

p.s. I've got 42 left. If I get low I'll get more made.
