The Phantom Strikes!

     Has anyone successfully powered CMOS from a phantom power source?  I'm 
     conjuring a beltpack device with a 4066 & such to route a headset 
     condenser mic signal through a vocoder, bypass it, or kill the mic 
     entirely. I figure it's a shame to ruin the environment with more 
     batteries or ruin my sanity with another AC wall wart.
     
     On a similar note, any idea how those Anatek Pocket boxes get their 
     power off the M**I line?
