simple capacitor question

I think I know how to decode these, but I want to be sure so that the
schematic I will upload to Music/Machines will have correct values.

I have some caps marked with 3 digit values. I think they are decoded
as the first two being significant digits and the last number is an
exponent of ten (number of zeros after the significant digits). This
would be in picofarads.

Examples:
102 is really 1000 pf
223 is really 22000pf (.022 uF)

Also, do any of you know of an FAQ somewhere with this kind of stuff in
it? I could use a good document describing cap types, which are more
temperature/age stable etc.
