Electronotes

Hi everyone!
	A bit of a newby question this, as I've only recently joined this
 mailing list. My question is, what exactly are 'Electronotes'?
 I've read several references to these (this?) and I am curious.
 Many thanks.

 BTW... I'm a long time fan of analogue synths, and am, at the moment, trying
 to design a usefull VCO (going through more chips than a roulette table
 just now). Funny how many promising chip specs fail to live up to expectations.
 oh well, back to the bench.
