I wouldn't recommend the ICL8038 for music uses. As I remember it, it had
linear control anyways.
The waveforms also had widely different amplitudes, if memory serves me correct.

Maybe as an LFO.....?

I hope they are 2700 or 4700 series linear CV modules.
