Question about Moog Ladder filter

Dear DIY - 

Simple question from one of those "young kids today who don't understand the 
roots of electronics and just want to throw tons of op-amps at every 
problem"....
I want to build a Moog Ladder filter (based on Ric's schems) using MAT04's for 
the ladder transisitors (don't ask why). Will there be a problem with this due 
to the fact that the Hbe for these is around 600 - rather than 100 (for the 
CA3046)?

Any other problems with doing this that any one can think of off the top of 
their head?
