A grinding wheel. They have little ones that are for those hand-held Makita
grinders for cutting pipe and cement and stuff. They have an arbor that can fit
into a drill. Note that this would be parallel to the little table part of the
drill press, so you'd have to make a little wooden jig to hold your panel
upright. Clamp the panel to your jig, set the table height, and cut away!
I'm not sure if you can get grinders that are narrow enough for slider holes,
but you should. I'm not talking about the wheels that are big blocks of sand
paper material, I'm talking about the ones that are made of some kind of
composite with a criss-crossed pattern on them (I don't know exactly what
they're called). I've used these wheels on hand-held power drills to cut
through Krytonite bike locks and they work - I know it will cut it.
(Note that I haven't actually DONE this - because I don't have any sliders in
the stuff I've built :)
