I think the point is, that this sort of thing wouldn't work for voltage
control inputs. You could wire this connector in parallel with your regular
patching system, but you wouldn't be able to add modulation on the same
summing amp input resistor. It wouldn't be that big a deal to add input
resistors at the summing node to accomodate extra modulation
inputs from this multipin connector.
