If you use a rather thin wire, you can squeeze two ends into one pin,
and thus connect two or more inputs/outputs together in a serial way...

Actually, the VCS3 had a connector for just this purpose...
(right above the pin matrix)

But, how prone to crosstalk would an arrangement like this be ?
Anyone with some experience ?

(I guess it wouldn't be worse than a pin matrix, anyhow)
