inexpensive pots ?

   Because I've decided to put alot of controls on my ASM-1 project,
I'm looking for a good source of inexpensive but not crummy pots, preferably
miniature and cermet. So far I've only come across some Spectrol pots in
the Mouser catalog for around 4.00. This could get expensive. There are also
some pots made by Piher in the Mouser catalog for around 2.00 but they look
like they have plastic shafts and do not seem to specify if they are carbon
or Cermet or what.
   Anyone have any suggestions ?
