     Hi Rich,

The MAT-02 has been farmed out to Newark by Analog Devices, according
to the agent at Hamilton/Avnet ("where chips go to die" were her exact
words) so you can probably get a bunch from there. I've been running
my tests with pairs of brand-new-but-not-matched 2N3904's and they
work fine, at least after they temperature-stabilize. I'll bet that
hand-matched brand new 2N3904's would work just great. Don't expect to
never have to touch those fine tune knobs, however.

I'm getting some samples of MAT-01's from Analog Devices, which are
popular parts and still easily avialable. I want to see how stable the
VCO tuning is with those and I'll post the results to the DIY list.
They're probably expensive, though, I forgot to ask.

     - Gene

Got my ASM-1 board in the mail yesterday -- looks nice! Thanks, Gene!

One thing I don't see addressed in the documentation is availability
of parts. Are there any that are hard to find (in the US)? The
MAT-02 for instance? (Or are most people going the hand matched
transistor route?)
