announcing: the tubemaster

....so the devotion to analogue has made a builder out of me too...
Nothing that produces sound but a machine which does wonderful things
to other sounds with the power of the mother of analogue electronic
technology: the tube.

Once you've heard true tube sound I think you become addicted if there
is just a little place in your heart for the nuances and richness of
great sound. My main motivation to build the tubemaster came from
listening and making music through tube amps. I wanted my recordings
to have the same charm and to give the same sense of pleasure and
inspiration to the listner.

On my way I came across the fact that tubes can do something else for
you too - by way of overdrive. I was not aware that distorted sounds
can be so beautiful. Yes, I liked overdriving the Minimoog too but
what the tube does is another world. A big, fat, warm world. Anyway
this lead me to build a machine which can do both.

So I take pride in announcing my first analogue device:
