Synth Kit

Hello,
 Does anyone know where I could get my hands on a synthesiser Kit? 
I'm studing electronic at trade school and would like to build an
instrument that I could tweak. I'm not interested in MIDI - and I
defintly want something analog. If there is nothing available what would
be a good synth to take apart and reconstruct?
