Early Lexicon boxes was design this way as well...

This is a long lost art of effect construction.. (sick!)

I still regard my Eventide Clockworks H949 Harmonizer the most bizzare FX
construction I have ever seen (at least in digital)... it is certainly playing
in a little field of it's own here.... and it dates back to 1979.

The Lexicon 480L is also a lot of stuff in it but much more within standard
design than the H949...

Or to say it in another way... the H949 inspired me in it's total design 
grip...
