Horray! I've only been waiting 9 months :).

I was thinking. If you got two of these + 8 SSM2024's (quad VCA). You'd have a 
pretty easy to build modular programmer. Since almost any sequencer can record 
continuous controller messages. I was also thinking - for those of you talking 
about those 8x8 analog switcher things - that you control these via MIDI as 
well using the bits of a note or controller message to select the the on's and 
off's. It would be a little funky, but at least you wouldn't have to build 
anything to *store* your programs - you could store it all in a sequencer...
