THe SSM 2024 is a quad OTA. Not an ultra-hig-end one, but quite good
and clean. I used 2024 on different places in my Modular System (in
modules that are intended to feature clean - not "Vintage" - VCA functions).
BTW, there is one thing about the 2024 which I never understood:
Ok, they wanted to reduce the number of pins, so they had to choose
between either the inverting or the noninverting input of each VCA, the
other one being internally grounded. They chose the wrong one, the
noninverting one. Hmm, the output swing is limited to some 100
millivolts, so You *need* the (inverting) summing node-opamp configuration;
and You also need an extra opamp to do a second inversion, if You
need a simple, non-inverting VCA block. STUPID !!!
