Is there a diy FAQ?

I'm a new to the list and also pretty newbie for the synth diy stuff.
I was wondering, if there's a FAQ available for the diy people like
myself, who are starting their interesting hobby... Also very descriptive
net sources would help me alot.

At the moment I'm working on blueprints of a programmable drum machine.
Can I get any tips for it from this list?
