WTD: EMS VCS3 Board 'A' Schems

That sounds like a really bad idea.  If there's one place you can really
improve the VCS3's sound without changing its character, it's on that board.
The design is an abortion (non-symmetrical power supplies suck).  Besides, I
think that the stuff Dave fried may be hard or impossible to get.  You'd be
better off replacing the board functionally with circuits that are better
designed.  Actually, I think that's what Graham is doing.  I'd better check...
