Just a note DIY'ers....

Kyle Jarger was kind enough to send me an evaluation unit and the only
problem I could find was that Gene beat me to the punch in telling you all
of it's superlatives!!!

As a second opinion, let me say that the box is wonderfully executed and is
both a great value and an innovative design. While a Kenton offers many
neat features and some real buff packaging, Kyle's box performs 95% of what
theirs does at a fraction of the price. It even sports many features that
the Kenton doesn't have.

The price and small size of the JKJ converters make them perfect to build
into synths, either as a retrofit for synths like Arp 2600's, etc and also
as a module for whatever modular you have. This may not be his intention,
but a Kenton pro2 or 4 you could not say the same thing about. The JKJ unit
has a board that is a fraction of the size of a Kenton.

The only possible gripe I have is the lack of parts identification. For
service and modifications, this could be a problem. Still, it is a non-
issue for 99% of his customers and agree that protection is often
necessary. Considering how very well thought out this unit is and the
highly professional way Kyle has shown himself and company to be, I don't
doubt his customer service is also top notch and indeed, may never be
necessary anyways.

This thing even comes with a handy, laminated card with the MIDI control
numbers, etc.
.... very well thought out!!!!
