Those of you who want to have some fun with 3D sound placement
and have an AWE32 sound card - checkout the 3DDEMO.EXE file at the
Creative Labs web site (creaf.com I think). This is a game to
demonstrate the DSP chip on the card. You can move a helicopter sound
around and above you with a joystick. Then take your favorite sound
editor program and create a replacement pcm 16bit 22khz file for the
helicop.raw file and swirl it around with the joystick! Support for
creating your own programs is in a file called ADIP.EXE. But it is
for programming types and beyond my area of knowledge. I think the
game program wants to see particular file size for the helicopter sound.
If you hear of a better implementation for more general mixing use
let me know.
