DSP Faq?  Check the newsgroups!  There used to be a comp.dsp group a 
while back.  They had a FAQ that covered all the bases.

My only DSP book is titled "Digital Signal Processing in C", (more info 
avail. on request).   It's a hands-on walk-through of the basics of DSP 
with lots of examples in 'C'.   

'Hands-on' doesn't imply 'DSP for Dummies' --  Don't buy this book 
thinking it'll make you a DSP whiz without understanding the math behind 
it.
