  That's right kiddies! I got a big surprise in the mail today - I thought
  I was going to get a call when they shipped - but I guess not, because I
  got a big heavy box of faceplates sitting here in my office. I'm so
  psyched!

  The goodnews;
  They are perfect! Beautiful. I was a little because the first one I
  pulled out looked badly scratched - but I quickly realized it had a
  peel-off protective film (makes drilling a little easier!) and that it
  was just the film that was scratched. They look really clean, hightech
  and a lot different from your average synth.

  The bad news:
  I'm afraid the total cost got bumped up because they had to do some
  artwork rework (my dial markings didn't survive the transition from Corel
  to Autocad) and because of a higher shipping cost than they had expected.
  This was the reason I never wanted to set a hard price. I feel really bad
  about it, and I hope some of you who were trying to cut cost aren't too
  dissappointed or think of this as some kind of "bait and switch". I did
  say all along the price was "estimated" - and I think you'll be really
  happy with the results.

  The final price:
  $30 per panel for less than 4 panels
  $25 each for four or more panels
  price includes shipping and everything - anywhere in the world.

  If the extra cost makes you change your mind about it I will understand -
  please let me know so I can take your name off of the email list.

  Remember I will also have tempco resistors in a week or two, and they are
  $4 each for panel buyers, $5 each for non-panel buyers.

  Please send your checks or cash or money orders to;

  Please include with your payment;
  1. # of panels you want
  2. # of tempcos you want
  3. your address

  If you live near the city - you're welcome to pick it up in person and
  save shipping cost...

  Also, if you live in the same area with other DIYers you might want to
  combine your orders and take advantage of the price break.
