oscilloscope virtual instrument

Greets,

Can anybody recommend to me a source for a kit or a PCB design for a
virtual oscilloscope (digital store scope hosted by a PC)?

I'm looking for a two-channel design .. additionally, 'hack enabled' would
be a plus (a simple PC interface so that I would be able to write my own
host software for Linux, rather than being locked into windos). 

Kits below $200 are preferable .. (above $200 I'd be better off buying a
used analogue scope).
