Digital potentiometers

Hi,

	I've just come across a range of digitally controlled pots
	from Dallas Semiconductors. Basically they are 64/128/256
	resistors in series with a multiplexer acting as the pot
	wiper under serial control usually from a micro controller.

	They also come in several configurations, eg 2 256 step pots
	or 6 64 step pots on one chip.

	I'm intereseted in using these in various parts of a (very)
	small micro controlled synth, mainly in the EG's.

	Does anybody have any experience with these devices ? How
	about a UK distributer ?

	The part numbers are :-

	DS1868	2 x 256 step
	DS1806  6 x 64  step

	there are others.  Any idea of price would be handy.
