Pots again...

Hi!
In my current big project (yes, a modular... ) I am using the ALPS RK09 pots.
They are quite compact, well sealed, metalshafted and pretty well built I
think.
The metal shaft is mounted such that preassure force onto the potshaft will be
spread more directly to the metalfront of the box rather than pasing by the
resistive surface...
The downside is that they have a maximum power of 50mW (if I recall rigth that
is) and that they are built for PCB mounting with a 2.54 mm distance between
the pins. I plan to make small PCBs for each pot (all PCBs will be equal) so
that I can more easilly solder cables in and have separate solderpoints for
passon wires such as power and ground which is widely used (it'a CV after all).
Any thougths on this one? I like them, but us there a downside that I haven't
considered?
Cheers,
Magnus
