> 1) What are your preferred number of stages (1x16, 2x8, etc)?
2x16, alternately 4x8
> 2) How fast should a sequencer be able to cycle through its stages?
*AUDIO* rates... 400-500hz
> 3) What kind of outboard devices do you use to control/tweak the
> sequencer with?
LFOs, VCOs, ADSRs (on seqs that have a VC clock - you can get a great
automated slowdown on a one-shot sequence).
> 4) What features would you like to find on a sequencer?
VC (or GATEable) START/STOP and RESET. This is a must for being able to
chain sequencers together.
Individual GATE outs PER STAGE. The GATEs are a great way to trigger/clock
multiple sequencers from one master sequencer.
CLOCK OUT and CLOCK IN.
VC over the internal clock.
Multiple CV busses - ala the ARP 1613. This isn't so much for having a
stage that supplies multiple voltages to a bus, it's more of being able to
assign the single stage voltage to one or more busses.
On board lag (portamento) processor. This saves a module in the outside
world, and it actually one of the neat things about the PAiA sequencer from
days gone by.
> 5) What features do you not use on your sequencer?
There ain't nuttin' that I haven't used on a analog sequencer that I've
been put in front of!
> 6) Add additional comments...
Sign me up for three!
I look forward to following this project!
