Let me get this straight, are you using the CPU to create your source
waveforms?
If so, the only analog part of this synth is the filter - right?
You should just buy a Waldorf uWave, or at least copy the design - it's a very
"hackable" synth.
It's analog for the filter, VCA, panning and routing - but otherwise all
controlled by a 68000 uProc.
It uses a CEM3389 (or CEM3387) on each voice for the analog section. This chip
has voltage controlled freq. res. pan and gain.
You can also save some work by *not* using a DACs for each CV. You use a DAC
and an octal Sample and Hold (uWave uses a CEM5508 - I think) so that you can
run several CV's with one DAC.
