Why Epoxy Encapsulation?

Actually the Arp modules are potted in silicone rubber, not epoxy. The
rubber is easily removed with
dental picks and some patience. The very early models did use an epoxy
though. I can't even saw through a blue meanie VCO!

Emu only sealed the PCB in epoxy resin, not the components.
