Discrete SSM2040 clone built

     No! Not boring! More! More!
     
     The SSM2040 is a very pleasing filter and I'd build a dozen of them if 
     there was an unending supply of them. A clone design that can be built 
     from standard parts would be wonderful. The array-based idea sounds 
     like the ideal solution if you can do it!

I'm bringing back the 2040 discussion again, I hope it's not too boring.

Control rejection was far from ideal, probably a result of insufficient 
matching of transistor pairs. I may build an array-based version 
sometime soon, and this should help a little, since you get better 
thermal coupling as well.
