matching different cvs

there's a log-lin converter circuit on hyperreal - has anyone tried to 
build it?  Also, does anyone have a decent lin-log circuit?  I built the 
fatman thinking it'd be cool for a midi-cv controller, but so far i've 
been hosed by that idea... shot straight outta western music into funky 
microtunings...  Anyway, it seems like an opamp with a diode in the 
feedback loop should accomplish this, but i'm not exactly a hardware 
buff... any suggestions or help?
