The SSM 2020 is a dual VCA.

I've been doing some VCF research. I've got a bee up my butt about a
good-sounding low-pass that isn't a Moog ladder and is made from
easily available components, and NOT filter chips. Once again I want
to BREAK FREE of all dependence on SSM or CEM chips. So now I've built
     a 4-pole low-pass using four CA3080's, as per Electronotes issue #41.
The circuit is identical, except that I'm using CA3140 buffers instead
of FETs, and a MAT-03 instead of the AD821. It's built (just finished
in fact) but not powered up. Maybe tomorrow...

I was just reading the stuff going out about SSM2040

filters, and was just curious, WHAT is a SSM2020?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for building a discrete

VCF that is *not* the Moog Ladder or other variants of the same theme?
