different keyboard types

Hi!

Recently, there was some talk about restauration of different
keyboard types.
I found that, while I am aware of various types of action feeling,
I know almost nothing about the realisation and advantages/disadvantages
of different types of keyboard mechanics.
Can anybody enlighten me, please? Rich? anybody else?
