For CV generation you'll need resistor ladder based converters, such
as Burr-Brown's PCM54/PCM56 or Analog Devices' AD1380/AD1856. These
are more expensive than Sigma-Delta type converters since they
employ laser trimmed resistors. Sigma-Delta converters are only good
for AC-signals (audio) and therefore are not suitable for CV generation.
