paste on the adapter, place the IC in roughly the right place
and shove it in the oven for a few minutes. It will centre

soldering without some form (or, my case, forms) of
magnification.<br>
Buy an LCD desk microscope and a head-mounted, lighted
magnifier visor. And get started! I also suggest investing
in a hot air soldering station, and a tube of squeeze-out
solder paste.<br>
I’m 70 with similar sight problems. It’s doable.<br>
