years ago, I didn't bend the lugs back - I soldered a
stiff wire across the bottom of the case, in order to
close it. That way the lugs won't break from fatigue if
the procedure needs to be repeated some day.</p>

<p>I don't remember, it's been 15 or 20 years ago. I guess, as you
suggested, I bent the lugs outward, in case the soldering turned
out to be insufficient. I do remember that I had to do *something*
to get the height right.</p>
<p>Sigh, I'm always striving to avoid future problems. And sometimes
I tend to think a little too much ;-) Maybe that's the autistic
side of me....</p>
