<div dir="auto">I think it's more the other way around nowadays. On the Raspberry pi forum you have people creating very innovative programs yet unable to connect some external sensor or actuator to one of the GPIOs without blowing it up.</div>

The advantage is that it can be done using just basic logic chips and <br>
memory, without any microprocessor, something very attractive for <br>
18-years old boy with no slightest idea about how uP works.<br>
