I wanted to get back into electronic music and discovered MOTM. I really appreciated it because of it’s easy DIY nature and documentation. I even bought some of his MOTM-000 breadboards for some of my projects and still have a couple of bare boards. He was
an inspiration and will greatly be missed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin:0in">I just got off a call with Paul Schreiber's wife Tammy who let me know
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">that he passed away in the hospital this morning while waiting for heart
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">surgery. I've been chatting with him almost daily over the last few
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">weeks and he was in good spirits, hopeful for his upcoming procedure and
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">a quick recovery. We'd been working on some new ideas that he was
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">planning to release for production later this year.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">Paul was a consummate engineer with deep roots in music and technology
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">and had worked on portions of the TRS-80 ecosystem, the Realistic
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">Concert-Mate MG-1 synth, the MOTM modular system and many Eurorack
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">modules. He had been an active participant in the early days of this
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">mailing list and was well known for strong opinions although in recent
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">years he spent more of his online time on other forums.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">Paul and I began working together in 2007 after I'd posted a little
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">digital oscillator project to this list. Our collaboration resulted in
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">many of the Synthesis Technology Eurorack modules from the first E350
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">Morphing Terrarium oscillator to the final E520 Hyperion processor. He
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0in">was fun to work with and a great friend. I will miss him.<o:p></o:p></p>
