<DIV id=RTEContent> <DIV id=RTEContent>04/05/2006</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I recently constructed a Low Pass VCF using a pi-type configuration with the last resistor connected to pin 2 of a CA3080/NTE996 with a 10k resistor also connected to pin 2 & pin 6. I tried to turn the filter on & off by connecting my ADSR's output to the CA3080's pin 5. I put a 2.2k resistor from pin 3 to ground but got no response. What is the key to getting a CA3080 to work in a VCO/VCF/VCA circuit ? When I use a 741 the circuit works. Also, when it comes to trying to get a resonance feature out of this filter, should I simply connect the op-amp's output back into the 1st resistor of the pi-network via a potentiometer or do I have to get really fancy. I'm really frustrated with the CA3080 & need help understanding the basics of how it works as well as some basic circuits that show what it can do. Any help will be appreciated because I want to design my own VCF that has a
variable resonance control & a variable cutoff frequency control to get those waah up & down effects. Thanks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Logan</DIV></DIV><p>
