First, thanks to all on the list, I've learned such a great deal from you all, it's given me lots of confidence during troubling times!
I own a Pro-One (Serial # 2628, made 7/31/81, Obtained by me in 1999), and it has seen it's share of road abuse; after the last gig, it was setup for rehearsal, but displayed a constant audio signal, VCOs unresponsive to any CV info from Keyboard or Sequencer. Taking it over to the test bench, it was disassembled and inspected. The Inspection revealed that the PC Board Standoff in the top Right-hand corner of the unit had broken from it's Glued mounting, the glue itself quite brittle (it actually looks like old Elmer-type Glue!!) and broken into dust! this Standoff needs to be grounded, or the PC board gets shorted somewhere (i Think), causing the Trigger light to stay on and the VCOs to trigger
My question involves how this standoff should be re-glued and remounted, and what type of insulating glue should be used? Would it be feasible to replace this metal standoff for one made of insulated plastic?
Any advice would be appreciated, and thanks again to all the members of the list for helping further my knowledge of Electronic Music Instruments!
