currently available OTAs. The 3080 or the 13700 are cheap (under a buck each
from Mouser), and there are plenty schematics for VCOs, VCFs and VCAs based on
them. I'm sure they could also be used to create rather nice voltage
controlled EGs. I really like the 3900 (the PAIA Gnome is based around this
chip), and the CEM3394 (own three or four myself), but if I had to use only one
chip to make a synth, it would be an OTA. </span></font></p>
