<DIV>In addition to other examples mentioned, some outstanding work was done by "TONTO's Expanding Head Band". TONTO (The Original and New Timbral Orchestra) was a huge modular synth created and played by Robert Margouleff and Malcolm Cecil. They put out at least two albums in the early '70's: 'Zero Time' and 'It's About Time'. They used TONTO and a 16-track recording system. Some of the music sounds like experimental electronica, while other songs are catchy jazz/blues oriented chord progressions and melodies with rich sounds and sparkle. The sound is full and clear. The recordings might be hard to find (I have some on old tape). A number of songs were re-issued on CD in 1996 on an album called 'TONTO Rides Again', but I think it's been discontinued. </DIV>
