<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">I have that great sounding analog Kawai SX-210 which is 20 years old.</DIV>

<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">Lately it started ot behave strangely, plays sounds and doule notes automatically and randomly.</DIV>

<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">A few months ago I opened it up and saw black color type of dirt near the Nicad battery.</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">Cleaned it with contact spray and the problem was temporarily solved.</DIV>

<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">But a week ago it went back.</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder"> </DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">I opened it up again and it seems that the "dirt" (or acid ????)</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">"ate" the PCB near were it is !</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder"> </DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">I assume this is going out of the battery.</DIV>

<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">The first thing I'm gonna do is desolder the battery out and than recover the</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">"eaten" area on the PCB.</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder"> </DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">Hope nothing happend to the ICs placed in this area.</DIV>

<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">I recall a discussion we had here about modding the circuit so I can use</DIV>
<DIV name="wrteplaceholder">a lithium battery instead.</DIV>
