<BR>If this is a NiCd battery it's probably at the end of its life (assuming
<BR>this keyboard is as old as I suspect it is). You should replace it. No
<BR>sense taking chances because once a NiCd goes it can ruin the PC board in a
<BR>relatively short period of time.

<BR>It would be safer to put in an alkaline or lithium battery, which requires
<BR>some circuit modification. This has been discussed numerous times on this
<BR>list.
